AVAILABILITY
There are many breeders breeding more frequently than we do. Please be sure you know what you are getting, though. Good and ethical breeders are up to date on current knowledge on their breed. They breed with dogs that are not only conform to the breed standard (the blueprint of the perfect Dalmatian), but who also have stable, friendly temperaments. Most importantly, they put in hours and hours of time handling and humanising your puppy before you get him/her. This is crucial to providing a well adjusted dog to join your family.

OPTIONS
Most Dalmatians are born white! Sometimes, they are born with a coloured "patch", and these are sold as pets.
Over the first few weeks, the spots become visible. These can be either black or liver (brown). Litters can contain both colours, depending on the parents and the genes involved.
Ideally, they have brown eyes, but sometimes they can have blue eyes, or one of each. These are also sold as pets.

HAVING A PUPPY
Most Dalmatians are ready and raring to go at 8 weeks. We cannot let them go before that. It is a good idea to crate train your puppy, or provide a safe playpen right from day 1 to prevent accidents and make house-training easier. You will get a folder of information regarding diet, vaccination, worming, training and management. Your puppy is a purebred puppy, with a pedigree listed on either the full or limited registered, depending on whether you want a show dog or a companion. He/she will be wormed and vaccinated to date when you collect him/her, and raised on premium quality food. He/she will be microchipped and have a complete vet check, including hearing test, prior to collection. Our aim as a responsible breeders is to provide you with a happy healthy puppy by screening the parents for conditions of concern and to deal with purchasers transparently. Please refer to the separate page regarding currently known conditions in this breed.
